Lawn machine operation precautions and maintenance

I. lawn machine operation precautions

In operation

1. If the machine vibrates abnormally during operation, the engine must be stopped immediately.

2. The machine must be operated with both hands, one-handed operation is prohibited.

3. Do not place your hands or feet near the rotating blade while the engine is running.

4. The silencer side of the engine should face outward to avoid burns.

The right way to mow

1. Because the blade is left-turning, the efficient direction of operation is to mow from left to right.

2. The most efficient mowing is to make two-thirds of the diameter of the blade to cut weeds.

After operation

1. After using the blade package, so as not to accidentally hurt others or themselves.

2. If you don't use it for a few days, you need to empty the oil tank to avoid fire due to oil leakage.

3. To make sure that the blade completely stops before carrying out cleaning and maintenance inspection work.

4. Remove the spark plug wire to avoid accidental fire.

5. Wait until the engine is completely cooled down before storage.

6. The machine will be stored in a cool dry place and prohibit children from touching.

7. Every 25 hours or 3 days half gear box lubricant, inside and outside the tube lubricant.

8. Clean the air filter and spark plug every 50 hours or 8 days.

9. Every 100 hours or 15 days to clean the silencer and drum.

10. When not in use for a long time to apply grease on the blade to avoid blade rust.

II. Lawn Machine Maintenance Work

Lawn mower maintenance is far more important than repairing a lawn mower after it has been damaged. Maintenance is the most basic thing you need to do to get the best performance out of any machine. It can greatly reduce premature wear and tear and galling of components, it can reduce unforeseen machine damage and costly repairs, and it can extend the life of your lawn mower. The maintenance of a lawn mower can be divided into three main parts. The first is routine maintenance, which consists of a variety of daily inspections and cleaning tasks. Second is regular maintenance, which includes changing various oils, replacing various filter elements, and checking all adjustments, such as brakes. Testing all the various functions of the machine and making necessary repairs. The last part is repair maintenance. This includes replacing damaged parts, checking all adjustments such as brakes etc. Testing all functions of the machine and carrying out necessary repairs, cleaning and lubricating the machine, etc.

III.The Daily Maintenance of Lawn Machines

1. Rinse

Flush the machine with medium pressure, medium flow water. Flushing with high pressure water will allow water and contaminants to penetrate through the seals and into the bearings. Try to avoid flushing hot machines with cold water. This is because sudden cooling creates a vacuum cavity in the bearing, which draws water into it.

Do not flush electrical components, radiators, oil coolers, hot engines and exhausts with water. Check for damaged and loose parts when flushing the machine. Also check for hydraulic fluid and oil leaks, as well as wear and damage to hydraulic hoses.

2. Purge

Clean the filter, radiator and oil cooler using low pressure, approximately 50psi (3.4bar) compressed air. Blow out the instrument panel and electrical components. Blow out the toolbox and spares box. For the engine area, clean the engine case by hand, then blow it clean with compressed air. Check radiator hoses, fuel lines and filters for leaks and damage. Remove waste debris from the radiator and cooler daily. Remove hourly if the work area is too dusty and extremely dirty. Check condition and tension of all exposed belts, adjust as necessary, Remove and clean the air precleaner.

Lawnmowers should not remove and clean the air filter without permission unless they have been trained to do so. This is because excessive cleaning and servicing of air filters can cause unnecessary seal damage and incorrect installation can cause contaminants to enter the engine.

3. Safety Interlock Test

Most lawn machines have have some sort of safety interlock that is used to protect the operator and the machine itself from injury. Testing of these safety interlocks is something that lawn mowers should do. They should be responsible for their own safety and the safety of those around them. In general, when starting the machine, the drive pedal should should be in neutral and the mower blade set is not engaged or it will not start. And to start the machine is that the handbrake must be disengaged and the operator must be seated in the seat or the engine will stall.

In addition there are a number of different interlocks for different machines, please refer to the operator's manual. Note that if the machine fails these interlock tests, the machine cannot be used. The periodic maintenance recommendation chart calls for all safety interlock switches to be replaced every two years or after a certain amount of operating time.

4. Grease

A small amount of grease is required to be added to the hob or rotary cutter disc after each machine cleaning. Refer to the operator's manual to see the location of the grease nipple and the type of grease. When adding grease, rotate the drum, hob or rotary cutter by hand, this will help to evenly distribute the grease and also check the contact and operation of the bearings.

General lubrication points must be lubricated periodically with No. 2 general purpose lithium salt grease. If the machine is used under normal conditions, lubricate the bearings and bushings after every 50 hours of operation. When operating conditions are particularly dusty and extremely dirty, bearings and bushings must be lubricated daily. Dirty operating conditions can cause dirt to enter the bearings and bushings, causing increased wear. Lubricate the bearings and bushings immediately after each flush, regardless of the specified interval.

5. Anti-corrosion and Anti-bite

Threads and parts biting can be a headache, and exposed threads and pivots should be sprayed with lubricant after each cleaning. For those coastal courses, because of the high salt content of the sea air and water, it is easy to cause premature corrosion of the machine, so it is best to blow-dry the blade set and other exposed parts after each cleaning, and then sprayed with a rust inhibitor (note that some rust inhibitors may be damaging to the lawn, so please be careful with the choice or cleaned before mowing).
